“The data contained herein were obtained from the papers on file in the Revolutionary War Pension claim, S.14240, based upon the military service in that war of Loftus Pullins.
Loftus Pullins (as he signed) was born in October 1764, in Augusta County, Virginia. The names of his parents are not shown. He enlisted in August Co., Virginia in December, 1780 and served three months as Private in Captain thomas Kicklin’s Company, Colonel Sampson Mathers’ Virginia Regiment; he enlisted in 1781, exact date not given, served three months in Captain William Kincaid’s Company, Col Samuel Vance’s Virginia Regiment, was at the seige of Yorktown and surrender of Cornwallis, after which guarded prisoners to Winchester Virginia.
After the Revolution, he moved to kentucky, where he resided for about forty years, the most of the time in Madison county, that state, when he was allowed pesnion on his application executed September 10, 1832, while residing in said Madison County.
