Born 1762 King William Co., Virginia & Died 1841 Preston Co., Virginia (now West Virginia)

Ambrose Lipscomb helped gain American Independence while serving as a Private in Capt. George Bell’s Virginia Company. Ambrose Lipscomb also served under General LaFayette, was at the Battle of Yorktown and while there witnessed the surrender of Cornwallis to General Washington.
